Ancient Tbilisi and its Touristy Resources
Since ancient times Old Tbilisi was an inimitable place with
its traditions, which always impressed local visitors and foreigners with
its antiquity. Here stand such majestic churches as Sioni cathedral, Anchiskhati
Basilica, Saint Abo’s cave, Metecki church and even Jewish synagogue.
The city has incessantly been protected by the Kala’s
fortress with its demolished towers.
From the above mentioned it’s clear that Old Tbilisi
is remarkable hearth for development of tourism, as its ancient past and
historical monuments leaves indelible impression on foreign guests and

Travel Agencies of Tbilisi And Analysis of Their Activities
Tourism research is an objective, systematic and logical
investigation of travel-related problems.
In response to the globalization of tourism activities
and industry, tourism research has become increasingly important to assist
decision making and planning for the tourism product, which is comprised
of all the goods and services that are necessary to accommodate the visitor.
Nowadays there are more than 200 travel agencies in Georgia
and the great majority of them (about 85%) are located in Tbilisi.
We studied some travel agencies and the main target of
our survey was to evaluate significant problems of these firms.
These travel agencies offer both incoming and outgoing
trips for leisure and also all necessary travel related services such as
hotel accommodations, car rental, visa, travel insurance and etc.
Among the firms, which were studied, the strongest are
N-tour, Caucasus travel and Argo Tour and that year they served almost
all international tourists in Georgia – about 8 thousand.

The Hotels Role In Georgian Touristis Infrastructure
To sum up, despite the difficult situation in Georgian touristis
infrastructure, the country possesses huge potential and perspectives in
order to overcome the crisis. Especially, now that the important steps
in this direction have already been taken. The development of the infrastructure
is taking place not only in the capital, but also in the regions of the
country and in case of the realization of appropriate investments it advances
in a great deal. Especially, because tourism in Georgia is regarded as
the most realistic exporting service and the majority of world’s economists
and reformists predict a huge prosperity for Georgian tourist industry.
