Importance of spotlighting the route from Eastern Partnership to EU membership
 

On November 30, Open Society Georgia Foundation organized the conference highlighting results and perspectives of Eastern Partnership Summit 2017. The event gathered representatives from Embassies, Government, international and local civil society organizations. 

Mikheil Janelidze, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Keti Khutsishvili, Director of Open Society Georgia Foundation, Janos Herman, Ambassador of the European Union to Georgia and Kai Kaarelson, Ambassador of Estonia to Georgia were the keynote speakers at the conference. 

Participants talked about tangible results of the summit and discussed the next steps in EU-Georgia relations. 

Open Society Georgia Foundation, GRASS and Georgian Institute for Politics introduced the statement and called on Georgia’s Government, to start drafting a comprehensive inter-agency Roadmap for the Membership of Georgia to the European Union, that would encapsulate objectives, priorities and all the necessary steps to achieve this goal.
