Open Society Georgian Foundation (OSGF) is launching a competition, within the OSGF's Law and Health Media Projects, for journalists.

The aim of the competition is to reveal the best journalistic articles (posted on-line or published in print media) and TV plot (show/report) covering the situation of palliative care patients, or people with HIV/AIDs, or people with intellectual disabilities, or Roma community, or LGBTI community, and sex workers in Georgia, from a human rights perspective, as well as availability of medical treatment and services for these groups

Articles or TV plots should be published (posted on-line)/broadcast within the period from August 4 till October 31

Terms and forms for submission:

Copy of article/plot either in magazine or in the newspaper, or on TV channel should be provided in electronic version, date of publishing/broadcasting, name of the author, and contact information.


Works will be assessed based on its informative value, writing skills, standards and techniques of publication's/plot preparation, and quality of journalistic skills.


All work pieces responding to competition requirements will be carefully discussed. Author of the1 best article and 1 best TV Plot will be granted following award.

  • Competition materials will become the property of the Open Society Georgia Foundation
  • OSGF enjoys the right to publish and disseminate the publication/plot by indicating the name of the author
  •  The best material(s) might be later published/covered in other publications, media outlets or web sites.

Submission deadlines:

Publications/TV plots should be submitted in the sealed envelope indicating the name of the participant and contact information.
